KAIKORA.

(Own Correspondent). The Kaikora sohool oommittee held their usual monthly meeting last Tuesday evening. Present:—McKay (chairman), Sorimgeour, Cray ford, Dillon, and Swan. The headmaster reported ( the roll is now 130.’ Owing to a vacancy Mr Sorimgeour has been elected a member of the oommittee. The visiting oommittee reported a shortage of water, the tanks being almost empty. Messrs Orayford and Dillon were appointed a visiting oommittee for the month. Lady Campbell kindly offered to give prizes for the best kept gardens in the playground. Accounts amounting to £2 7s were passed for payment. The Uni<m Jack and New Zealand Ensign were floating on Saturday in honor of the King’s Birthday, the ohildren having a holiday on Monday.
