Astronomical Notes for the Month.
The Sun enters the constellation .Leo on the 23rd of the month. Full Moon on the 31st of the month. On the 4th day of the month the earth is at its greatest distance from the Sun. Mercury will be a morning star after the middle of the month. Venus is an evening star, setting however, soon after the Sun. It approaches Regulus, a star of the first magnitude, very closely towards the end of the month. Mars is an evening star, Betting in the west shortly after Venus. Jupiter and Saturn in close neighbourhood rise together m the south-east shortly after sunset. To the naked eye the latter now appears as bright as a star of the second magnitude.
