KAIKORA.

(OWN GO 3B BBPON DIN T.) At 11 a.m yesterday, at the Church of St James, the Rev A. Gardiner united together in holy matrimony Miss Louie Christiansen, daughter of Mrs Pay, to Mr John Watson, of Patangata The bride was given away by her stepfather, and was accompanied by tho Misses Emily Moulder, Francis Thomas and Violet Pay, half sisters of the bride, as bridesmaids, each dressed in cream costumes with pink sashes. The bride was becomingly attired in a beautiful grey travelling dress, wreath of blossoms and veil. Mr James Watson acted as best man. The register being signed by thos9 concerned, they moved down the aisle of tho ohnrch. and at the door were met by showers of rice, which continued till the bridal pair passed out through the gate. A breakfast had been prepared by the parents, to whioh a large number were invited, and fall jastioe was done, after which the time honored toast was given by Mr J. 0. Taylor and responded to by the bride groom. Mr Dillon’s family (for whom tho bridegroom works) lent their presence, and, with the aid of all who attended, made the few hours remaining very pleasant indeed. The presents were numerous and appropriate. After after noon tea the whole company adjourned to ih3 railway station. As the train took its departure south the happy couple were again greeted with showers of rice aud flowers, and many hearty good wishes wero expressed for their fat are welfare. Tho company returned and kept np the merriment until 9 pm.
