THE STOCK MARKET. At Maßterton, the supplies were entirely confined to cattle. These occupied a great many of the sheep pens, iu addition to the cattle pens, and were composed of all classes and qualities. The attendance was good, but buyers were hanging back. During the day, current values were offered for most of the stock, but vendors holding out for more money, precluded any considerable volume of business. Subjoined are quotations. 3 to 3t year steers £3 2s 6d, 18 months steers and heifers £1 13s, 18 months heifers £1 10s to £1 12s, weaneri, small 8s to 11s, fat ewes £3 ss. Pigs—Weaners 8s to 9s Gd. At Apiti—There was a fair muster of cattle, but the quality was inferior, resultiog iu only a few head being sold. Only a few pens of sheep wore yarded. At Feilding—Cattle came forward in advertised numbers, but sheep were considerably short. The majority of the cattle and nearly all the sheep were quitted, and latter mostly after the auction. All stock sold equal to recent quotations. Apiti prices—Fat cows £3 10s to £i, milch cows £3, springing heifers £3 10s, hoggets 7a to 7s Id. Feilding prices—Bullocks £2 14s 6d to £3 10s, fat bullocks £4 15s, springiug heifers £2 10s to £3 10s, hoggets 5s to 7s, wethers 10s Gd to 11s. At Johnsonvillo, on Tuesday, the bullocks for sale were good to prime quality. Bidding was brisk aud prices ruled about the same as those of last week’s sale. Sheep were in usual supply with no alteration in value. Pigs sold a full value. Cattle—Beat bullocks £6 10s to £G 17a Gd, others £5 17s Gd to £G 7s 6d, equal to 15s the 1001 b. Sheep—Wethers in wool 14s 4d, ewes 10s Bd, shorn wethers 9s 3d, shorn ewes 7s to 7s 4d. Pigs—Pork 19s Gd to 255, porkers 14s 6d to 16s, young pigs, 10s to 12s.
