Obmondvillb, CoroDEB 20. (Before Mr A. Turnbull, S M.) J. C. Davis, licensee of the Makotob Hotel, w*s charged on the information o! the polioe with allowing Hqaor to h ooasamed on his lioensed premisei 10 pm. on the 11th September M Constable Siddells prosecuted tod Loughaau defended. Tbo evideooe of R. Russell, T. Bosanko, Mrs Boiankoid J. McDonald was taken for tbs prosecation and went to show that BoseeJl, Bosanko and Mrs Davis were playiai euchre for drinks. Some time betweea 10 and 11 p.m. Mrs Bosanko appeared ot the scene and found them playing oar* and glasses of beer on the table. Erideooi for the defenoe went to show that no b* was consumed after 10 p.m, bat Davis admitted that they wore playisf cards when Mrs Bosanko arrived. Magistrate considered the case provse and hoed D ivis £5 and oosts. A oharga of keeping the house open was withdraw and another charge of supplying a pel* 3o with liquor when already intoxicated** 1 adjourned until the 17th November. James Mathews was charged by tko Rabbit Board with failing to destroy rabbits on the Te Ohu Block. Mathews failed to appear, Mr Marrafi his maniger, appearing for bim- ® f Murray having no authority to hearing was adjourned until the 4th Non at Waipawo.
