The Waitotara Fatality.

(FIR PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Wangandi, Tnia day. Particulars of the fatality at Waitotara show that the party consisted of five meD. A tent wai pitched on tbe side of a cutting a few yards off a limestone cliff. Tbe cook first prepared breakfast and called tbe men np. Aa they were approaohing the oliff gave way, burying tho tent, tools, and two men named Demißton and Fnlford. Three men Bet to work with their hands, the tools being all buried, and managed to rescue Fulford, who was in fonr feet of mad. Fortunately tbe tent bad borne tho weight of the earth. The other man’s body was not recovered till two days afterwards. Had tbe slip come down a few minntes later all would have been bnried.
