Women’s Franchise.

Wellington, This day St. James’ Anglican Churoh, Lower Hutt, has decided to extend the franchise to women. At the parishioners’ meeting the proposal was strongly opposed by the Incumbent. The motion to allow women to sit on the vestry was lost by one vote.
