RESOLVED —(l) That this Council borrow from the General Government the sum of £6OOO under the provisions of “ The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886,” and that this Council forthwith apply for such loan accordingly. (2) That for the purpose of providing tor the interest upon the said loan a

special annual recurring rate of one and three-eighths of a penny in the pound be levied upon Maogatoro, consisting of Blocks 8, 12, 16, Tahoraite Survey District, and Blocks 5,9, 10, 13, 14, Mangatoro Survey District, during the whole period required by “ The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886,” for the continuance of the said loan, such rate to be payable yearly on every first day of July n each year. (3) That the particular work for which the aforesaid loan of £6OOO is to be raised shall be the formation and metalling of the Danevirke - Weber Road from its junction with the Kaitoki Road to the boundary of sections 1 and 27 of Block 11, Weber Survey District. (4) That th 6 cost of raising such loan and the interest for one year during the construction of the said public work shall be paid out of loan.
