A football match was played this afternoon between teams chosen from Waipukurau and Waipawa and resultrd in a win for the latter by three tries to one. The most noticeable for the vistors were Anderson, Barrie, Bailey, and Ryan, and In the local team Messrs Godfray, Sebly, Martin, and Prentice. The game was played in two half-hours. Messrs Sullivan and Robinson acted as umpires, and gave every satisfaction. The game was played in Mr Scrimgeour’s paddock.
