ORMONDVILLE.

(own correspondent.) Ormandville appeared quite lively to-day with the inquest and also a wedding. Mies Harwood, the youngest daughter of the late well known Mr E. Harwood, of Waipawa, was joined in the holy bonds of matrimony to Mr W. H. Beale, of this town, by the Rev. Mr Parkinson of Napier. The church was well filled by the relatives and friends of the happy couple, as well as several sightseers, who always turn out to see a wedding. After the ceremony was performed, the wedding party returned to the house of the parents of the bridegroom where the wedding breakfast was laid. Last evening tho wedding festivities were held at the Ormondville Public Hall, where a large gathering of invited guests thoroughly er.joyed themselves by dancing and singing. The Norsewood Brass Band, of which the bridegroom is a member, was in attendance, and assisted with the dance music. Some very nice songs were sung by the Misses Moran, Mesdames Beale, Moran, and Mr Baker. The fun was kept up until the small hours of this morning, when the company dispersed, well pleased with the enjoyable time they had spent. I hear that Sydney Johnston, Esq., is going to open his new wool shed in grand style next week by giving a dance to his employes and friends. lam told that the Norsewood Brass Band is invited to supply the music.

Speaking of the Norsewood Brass Band reminds rne that they gave the residents of Ormondville a treat on Sunday last by holding an open air Racred concert. There was a very good attendance of the public, in spite of the strong wind which was blowing, and which also spoilt the playing a great deal.
