Fire Brigade Station Site.

The following letter has been received by Thos. Tanner, Esq., M.H.K., in reply to a request made by him on bebulf 0 f the Waipawa Town Board : * Post Office nnd Telegraph Dept., Wellington, Oct. 16, 1889. Sir, —I h.ive the honor to refer to the representations which you have to me, with the view of securing from Government the vacant section next the Post Office at Waipawa as a site for « Fire-bell Tower and Engine-shed. I have pleasure in informing you now that the Town Board may use (lie vacant space for the purpose named, on the understanding that the buildings are to t* removed at any time on a month’s notice from thia Department. I have the honor to be, Ac., C. Lemon.
