TO STAND THIS SEASON, AT WAIPUKURAU. The Thoroughbred horse BEDOUIN. (Bred by Mr Norsworthy.) BEDOUIN is a brown horse, by Traducer, out of Meg Merrilies. Meg Merrilies by St. George (imported), out of a Whisker Mare, dam of Spray ; Spray was dam of Wetsail and Stormbird. BEDOUIN is sire of Guy Fawkes, winner of the Wanganui Grand National Steeplechase (1886), and several other Steeplechases and Hurdle Races too numerous to mention, both here and in the Auckland district ; also, sire of Omatn, who was admitted by several good judges to be one of the fastest horses at the illegitimate game of racing they had seen on the Ellorslie racecourse for many a day ; also sire of Witiora, who has performed so successfully on tho West Coast and in Auckland, and Waikato Districts during the season 1883-84 ; also, sire of Shamrock, who ran second for the Hokitika Handicap, and won the Coosolation the same day, beating Lillipee, etc., etc. BEDOUIN was a successful performer himself. He won the Auckland Derby, and ran second for the Auckland Handicap in 1876, won by Ariel, and won the Consolation at the same meeting, beuting The Don and several others. Young Dugdale is a dark bay, with gaod bone, a beautiful temper, thoroughly stauuch, with such good action as is seldom seen in a draught horse. Terms, £3 10s single mares; two or more £3 each. TO STAND THIS SEASON AT KAIKORA, The Celebrated Clj’desdale Horse DUKE. Imported from Auckland by Sir Donald McLead. DUKE was got by the celebrated English Horse Matchless (imported to Auckland) out of a Cumberland Mare. Duke has thrown some of the stoutest and best horses in the province. The sire of Duke was sold, to go to ’Frisco, for 1300 guineas, and fiie two prize draught yearling at a recent Agricultural Show, were both out of Duke mares. Terms : £3 10s for single mare. Two or inoßo as per agreement. Groomage 5s per mare. Mares must be removed on notico of stinting being given, after which a charge of 3s per week will be made. THE PURE-BRED CLYDESDALE HORSE BLUE BONNET WILL RUN SEASON in good grassed paddocks at the farm of the undersigned. Blue Bonnet is a dark bay horse, low sot and vory muscular. Sire, Sir William Wallace, dam by old Dugdale (imp.) ; her dam by Conqueror out of a Maui mare. Blue Bonnet obtained first prize as a 3year old (only time shown) at the Hawke’s Bay Agricultural and Pastoral Show, 1886. For docility, honesty and constitution, nothing better has ever been imroduced into Hawke’s Bay. Terms. —Single mares, £3 3s. Reduction made for two or more mares the property of the same owner.
