The Dunedin Herald warns policy holders in the Government Life-Insurance Department against voting again for Mr G. fisher, believing him to be unsuited for a place on the Board of Directors. It calls him “an opinionative. self-willed, and meddlesome gentleman.” li Hangmen” says Mr Sala. “ arc not fond of the Press. After it was all over Calcraft took me on one side in a confidential sort of way and delivered himself on the great question of the Press. ‘ Look here, Mr Saylah’—he always called me Saylah—‘it’s my opinion that there didn’t oughter to be no newspapers 1’ ”
