No person allowed to enter a horse unless he is a subscriber of at least One Guinea to the club. The decision of the Stewards shall be final in all cases. The Hawke’s Bay Jockey Club rules will be adhered to as far as practicable. All protests must be accompanied with a deposit of One Guinea, to be forfeited if the protestis considered frivolous. Nominations for Onga Onga Handicap and Handicap Hurdles, enclosing amount of nominations, with name of horse, pedigree, and performances, to be forwarded to the Secretary at Onga Onga not later than 12 o’clock noon on Thursday, 20th December. Weights to be published on the 24th De< ember. Acceptance for the Handicaps, also entrance for the Maiden Plate and District Race, with colours of riders, also the necessary amount in cash, must be sent in to the Secretary, at Onga Onga, not later than 12 o’clock on the 27th day of December, 1883.
