Extract from Bell's Life, of 28th March, 1874, on the Sires of the Season “The Gladiators.—l should never leavo off meddling with the Gladiator blood if there was any to be found within a three or four days’ journey, and at a comeatable figure. lam sure it is no bad advice to breeders to keep the Gladiator sort always in view, and the great point is where to get it in the nearest form to the old horse. The Fit./.-Gladiators are mostly big horses.” Sator is eight years old, in color a rich chestnut, and has an unexeeptionally good constitution ; stands lb hands 2 inches high, with great hone and substance, combined with such good knee action as is seldom seen in a thoroughbred.
Terms :—lO guineas single mare ; two or more mares as per agreement, Groomage fee, ss, to l>e paid at time of service. Mares must Ih* removed ami paid for un notice of stinting being given, after which a charge of 2s Gd per week will be made.
Four first-class paddocks of 20 acres each provided. Owners of mares may rely upon having superior accommodation for their mares.
