Waipukurau, Takapau, and Kopua on Tuesday. Thursday, and Saturday at 9.20 a.m. PER OVERLAND ROUTE. Waipukurau, Takapau, Kopua, Norsewood, Danovirke, Tahoraite, Woodville, Palmerston North, Foxton, and Wellington close on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 9 a.m. sharp. Earthquake. —A very sharp shock of earthquake was felt here on Thursday morning about 2.25 a.m. It appears to have been very generally experienced in the southern portion of the Island.
