ROLL. OF HONOUR UNVEILED AT KAIPAKI
There was a large gathering of residents of Kaipaki and the surrounding districts, at the Anzac service in the Kaipaki Hall. Combined with the service was the unveiling of the Kaipaki Roll of Honour, which took place at the commencement of the service. The Anzac Service and the dedication of the Roll of Honour was conducted by the Rev. C. MacKenzie and the unveiling was carried out by Mr F. Onion, chairman of the Waipa County Council. Other prominent speakers were Mr R. Catchpole and Mr T. Wallace, and also on the platform were Mr G. F. Sim, M.P., Mr M. Cunningham, and Mr K. Knudsen. At the conclusion of the service, the following wreaths were laid beneath the Roll of Honour: The Waipa County Council (Mr F. Onion); Lady Galway Guild (Mrs A. M. Fisher); Ladies' Church Guild (Mrs A. Cowely jnr.); Kaipaki Hall Committee (Mr K. Knudsen); Kaipaki School (Anna Cowie); Kaipaki Sunday School (Bobby Tarr). Following the laying of the wreathsV the "Last Post," was sounded by Mr Ross Cubis.
