TUDOR THEATRE
“THE IMPERFECT LADY.” TOMORROW AND MONDAY A melodrama of gripping interest and sustained suspense will screen at the Tudor Theatre tomorrow and Monday. It is “The Imperfect Lady,” the Paramount film co-starr-ing Ray Milland and Teresa Wright and featuring an exceptionally fine supporting cast that includes Sir Cedric Hardwicke, Virginia Field, Anthony Quinn, Reginald Owen and Rhys Williams. “The Imperfect Lady” is set in Victorian England, but its story could just as easily happen today. Today, as then, a woman’s reputation is a fragile thing and when, as in “The Imperfect Lady,” it is caught in an embarrassing net of circumstantial evidence against her, the chances are she would stand just as much condemned. How she solves her problem is told excitedly, with superb performances by the stars and their supporting players.
