(637) CAMBRIDGE BOROUGH COUNCIL RATES 1947/48. is hereby given that the Cambridge Borough Council, in pursuance of its powers under "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1933," "The Hospital and Charitable Institutions Act, 1926," "The Rating Act, 1925," and all other powers enabling it in that behalf intends on WEDNESDAY, July 16th., to make and levy for the year commencing on the Ist. dav of April, 1947, and ending on the 31st. day of March, 1948.
-A CONSOLIDATED RATE under ■Section 96 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933" of TEN AND ONE HALF PENCE (lOid.) in the £ in lieu of the following rates: — (a) A general rate of 7 and id; in the £. (b) A Lighting Rate of Id. m the & (c) A Special Sewerage Loan (£21,000) Rate of 1 and 2d. in the £. (d) A Special Conversion Loan, Rate of 1 and id. in the £. 2—SEPARATE RATES as follows: (a) A Hospital Rate of 2 and 3-16 d in the £. (b) Water Rates:— I—On all lands and dwellings to which water is supplied , a rate of 2d. in the £. 2—On all buildings other than dwellings and also on all lands and dwellings to which water can be, but is not supplied, situate within 100 yards from any part of the waterworks, a rate of Id. in the £. 3—RUBBISH REMOVAL CHARGE under Section 90 of "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1933," — 15/- per annum for each dwelling unit. Al} the above rates, which will be levied upon the basis of the Unimproved Value of all rateable properties within the Borough of Cambridge, will be due and payable in one sum at the office of the Council, Victoria Street, Cambridge, on the 12th. • day of August, 1947. A Rebate of Two and One-Half per cent (21 per cent.) will be allowed on so much of the 1947-48 rates as are paid on or before 4 p.m. THURSDAY, the 11th. September, 1947.. Public notice is also given that the Valuation Roll containing the valuations upon which the above rates will be calculated, is now open for inspection at the office of the Council during office hours.
