CAMBRIDGE GUN CLUB
SHOOTING UNDER DIFFICULT CONDITIONS
For the first time since the war period, the Cambridge Gun Club held a shoot on Saturday to decide the club champion. Accurate shooting was made difficult by a strong wind which carried the clays away. From.'the 16 yards mark the inferior ammunition available was often inacporate. However, G. Bartlett handled the conditions well and gaim#T a clear-cut victory with 18 birds o*ft of a possible of 20. The iiext besj/were: R. Crosbie, A. Pretty fend D/McMillan. * Other shonts resulted as follows:
Five bird: A. Pretty, 1; B. Smith, R. Crosbie and G. Bartlett equal 2. Five bird: R. Crosbie 1, T. Neil sen. and G. Bartlett equal 2.
Five bird: G. Bartlett and N. Fer ris 1.
Five bird: B. Smith, R. Ferris, J. Thurston and T. Neil sen'. 1. Five bird: R. Crosbie, G. Bartlett, N. Taylor, B. Smith, T. Neil sen. 1. Five bird: T. Neil and N. Taylor 1. Seven bird gimcrack: R. Crosbie and B. Smith 1.
Box shoot: R. Crosbie and N. Taylor equal 1.
The club will hold its Christmas shoot for club’s members on December 21, commencing at 9.30 in the morning.
