THEIR EFFECT ON WORLD TRADE

After speaking to representatives of the Taranaki Federation of Dairy Factories at Stratford on modern dairy practice as he saw it during a recent trip abroad, Mr A. H. Ward was asked if he thought there would be another depression such as followed tire last war.

*Mr Ward said that was a difficult question to answer, but, so far as he could gather fro,nr various' responsible people he had met. in different countries, a depression was expected in two or .three years time. There would be a slight recession when production overtook the present unsatisfied demand, but, in view of the steps being taken to try to prevent a big slump, it was believed that any recession would not be very miarked.
