MR SIM OPENS
FIRST MEETING LAST NIGHT RECEPTION AT HINUERA Three years ago when Mr G. F. Sim successfuly contested the Rotorua seat against Labour, he made his maiden electioneering spech at Hinuera. Last night he opened his campaign for the Waikato seat at Hinuera again, when the hall was crowded with supporters. The chairman was Mr Guy Ring. "After listening to Mr Holland, anything said by our opponents that we are Tories is wiped out," said Mr Sim. "The people of New Zealand are the neighbourly type and will not wilfully see anyone down and out without giving assistance. That is the motive of the National Party—to help the individuals and the country back into their feet." Mr Sim dealt at length with the policy of the party and gave an assurance that if he were elected lie would stand by the pledges made. He was accorded a unanimous vote of thanks and confidence and Mrs Sim j was presented with a shoulder spray, by Miss Ring. I
