Farmers Held on Appeal
Outlining a proposal that the rehabilitation land settlement scheme should eventually be extended to young qualified farm workers, Mr L. W. McCaskill saiff to the New Zealand Vocational Guidance Association in Christchurch last week that hundreds of these men had been keen to serve in the armed forces, but were held on appeal in the interests of primary production.
