Frankton Saleyards.

Objections to the suggestion of the Hamilton Borough Council that it was possible to shift the saleyards at Frankton to Horotiu were raised at a meeting of the council of the Hamilton Chamber of Commerce this week. Members mentioned that if the saleyards were removed it would have an adverse effect on businesses in Hamilton, as the town was a dairying centre. The chamber decided to write to the council protesting against the removal of the saleyards and recommending that it confer with the Waikato and Waipa County Councils with a view to securing better stock routes leading into Hamilton.
