ANNUAL PICNIC RESULTS OF EVENTS - / (Contributed) The Hautapu School picnic was held recently in the beautiful grounds own* ed by Mr and Mrs Potts, “Broadmeadows,” Bruntwood. Although there was a blustering wind the children did not find it too hot to run in the numerous events offering. A large crowd of parents and friends was present.
The chairman of the committee’, Mr Hargreaves, thanked Mr and Mrs Potts for their kindness in allowing the picnic to be held in such a pleasant place.
Luncheon and afternoon tea, soft drinks, lolly scrambles and ice cream helped to make it an outstanding day for the children. The following were the prizewinners:—
