CAMBRIDGE SALE # QUALITY BEEF IN- DEMAND The Farmers’ Au&ioneering Coy. report on their Cambridge sale on Monday last. Thfcre was a good offering of lambs, but prices lasted slightly as compared with pur last sale. " A medium yarding of cattle realised full late rates, with good quality beef in firm demand. Heavy woolly hoggets, 33/3; heavy fat lambs, 24/9, 26/3; light fat shorn hoggets, 21/6; medium woolly lambs, 10/6, 11/6? shorn b.f. lambs, 11/-; cull lambs, 7/6; prime P.A. heifers,. £lO/10/-; medium fat cows, £G, £O/15/-; light fat cows and heifers, £5, £5/15/-; heavy boner cow's, £4/15/-, £6; medium boner cows, £3 £4/10/-; good quality Jersey heifer calves to £4; medium Jersey heifer calves, £2/11/-; small and low conditioned calves. 31/- to 32/-; bulls, £4/15/- to £5/5/-. Pigs: A full yarding of all classes of pigs, including the advertised line of pedigree boars and sows came forward to-day, baconers and porkers selling fully up to recent quotations. Store and weaner. pigs were very dull of sale, but in all cases vendors met the market. Pedigree boars and, sows were also very hard to quit. Choppers, £2/7/6 to £4/11/-; baconers, £3/15/: to £4 14/-; heavy porkers. £3 to £3/8/-; medium porkers, £3/10/- to £2/16/-, light porkers, £2/2/- to £2/8/-; unfinished porkers, 32/- to 38/-; large store, 22/- to 28/6; smaller stores, 14/- to 20/-; slips, 10/- to 15/6; weaners, 5/- to 9/6.
