BURSARIES FOR STUDENTS TRAINING NEW ZEALANDERS A plan has been adopted under which an adequate veterinary service, for the farmers of the Dominion will be developed by giving.specl. ial facilities for the training' or young New Zealanders who wish to enter this profession. '- 1 At the last meeting of the N.Z. Meat Producers' Board active step's now being taken in connection with the scheme were under consideration. The Meat Producers'-Board and the N.Z. Dairy Board, in co-opera-tion with the Government, are at present selecting students, to whom bursaries will be awarded to enable the holders to shortly proceed to Sydney where they will enter upon a course of study and training at the Svdney University, with a view to obtaining a degree in veterinary medicine and surgery. The scheme provides that the bursars are required to enter into an agreement to return to New Zealand after graduation, and serve in an approved veterinary capacity ,for a period of five years.
