ITS PART IN THE WAR CO-OPERATION WITH BRITAIN How the Royal Indian Navy, in co-operation with the British Navy is keeping the seas free for Indian trade and for the transport of war material, with which India has been supplying the Allies in huge quantities since |khe beginning of the war, is illustrated by shipping figures officially released in August. These show that during June 738 ships entered and left Indian ports compared with 562 in June last year. For the first fortnight of July 340 ships entered and cleared Indian ports, compared with 281 for the same period last year.
