“BULLDOZER.” PIONEER

MR ADAM HAMILTON’S INTEREST Mr Semple is not the only member of the House interested in bulldozers. Mr Hamilton’s flare for mechanical work, particularly implements. was shown during the Public Works debate, when he informed the House that he had had a bulldozer constructed to fit an ordinary farm tractor. It had been a rather difficult engineering problem, to fit one on a general utility tractor, but he was trying it out, and he hoped to give a demonstration of it later. He also emphasised the necessity for the Minister to concentrate on securing a proper draining machine; he thought that would be a real contribution to land work.
