corated by friends of the bride with belladonna lilies and chrysanthemums.

The bride, who entered the Church with her step-father, Mr F. A. Collins, looked charming in a beautiful frock of ivory silk lace over satin, cut on slim-fitting lines. The corsage was made in pointed panels, edged with ivory satin, and a cowl neckline was finished with a spray of orange blossom. Long tight fitting sleeves were piped at the wrist with satin.

The skirt, cut in six gores, fell gracefully away to a long circular train, the whole skirt and train being inset with a vandyked four-inch satin band. Her long, embroidered tulle veil fell from a coronet of orange blossoms and formed a second train. She carried a handsome sheaf of Madonna lilies and fern, tied with satin streamers.

She was attended by two bridesmaids, Miss Betty Collins, sister of the bride, and Miss Carrie Catchpole, sister of the bridegroom. They were dressed alike in full length frocks of lilac taffeta. The tightfiting bodices were finished with small points at ths neckline and a silver girdle at the waist. The skirts were fully flared and were edged with a pleated flounce of matching silk net. They wore Bolero coats of the same shade, embroidered in silk spots, made with short puffed sleeves and edged all round with small loops of the same material. They v; ore halo hats of mauve silk net, with lattice crowns and short streamers at the back. Across the ■front of the upturned brim was a small wreath of violet, mauve and lemon flat velvet flowers. They carried shower bouquets of mauve and lemon flowers with fern and tied with mauve satin streamers.

The bridegroom was attended by his nephew, Mr A. Rowell (Ashburton), as best man and Mr H. Goodwin “is groomsman. Messrs J. Hart-

stone and A. Goodwin were ushers. Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the Peace Memorial Hall, Ohaupo, where about seventy guests were entertained. The long tables were beautifully arranged with bowls of purple, mauve and white asters. Over head a canopy of mauve ’ and white streamers stretched the entire length of the tables, and a beautiful white wedding bell was suspended over the bridal table. The guests were received by Mrs Collins, mother of the bride, who wore a slim-fitting gown of brown corded silk, flowered in autumn shades, over which was a full length brown Marquisette coat. Her picture hat of cire straw was finished with matching flowers and she carried an autumn tinted posy. j Mrs A. B. Cachpole, mother of the i bridegroom, wore a smart ensemble suit of navy embossed cloque, ivory satin blouse and navy bangkok straw hat. She carried a posy of cyclamen and dahlias. The usual toasts were honoured, the Rev. Sullivan acting as toastmaster. When Mr and Mrs R. Catchpole left later for the honeymoon, which is being spent in an extended trip to the South Island, the bride travelled wearing a smart costume in brown and beige woven material with silk blouse embroidered in navy and black. She wore a halo hat of brown silk taffetas and brown accessories. They will later make their home at “Melrose,” Kaipaki. They were the recipients of a beautiful array of presents, including a handsome Westminster chiming clock from the combined members of the Waipa Cricket Association and the Waipa County Cricket Association.
