CROQUET
WIN FOR TE AWAMUTU MATCH WITH DOMAIN CLUB Eight members of the Cambridge Domain Croquet Club visited le Awamutu on Wednesday when they engaged the Te Awamutu Croquet Club in a series of friendly matches which resulted in a win for the home club by 182 points to 168 points. The visitors were welcomed by the president of the Te Awamutu Club, Mrs H. C. Rainey, and at the conclusion of the games, Mrs Beer thanked Te Awamutu for an enjoyable afternoon. Following are the results, with Te Awamutu players mentioned first: — Mesdames Dowds and Davis lost to Mesdames Tucker and Gane, 15—26; Mesdames Cole and Pearte beat Mesdames White and Glanville, 26—25; Mesdames Young and Ryan lost to Mesdames Beer and Wallis, 22—26; Mesdames Dowds and Davis beat Mesdames Tucker and Gane, 26 —19; Mesdames Webber and Clark beat Mesdames Oaten and Schwieiers, 26 —5; Mesdames Cole and Noonan beat Mesdames White and Glanville, 26 —11; Mesdames Jourdain and Meredith lost to Mesdames Beer and Wallis, 13—23 (unfinished); Mesdames Dowds and Davis lost to Mesdames Tucker and Gane, B—2ti; Mesdames Zohrab and Paul beat Mesdames Oaten and Schwieters, 27'—7 (unfinished).
