MAUNGATAUTARI SCHOOL ANNUAL PICNIC (From Our Own Correspondent). The annual picnic of the Maungatautari No. 2 School was held last Friday on the property of Mr J. M. Scott. There was a large attendance of children, parents and friends. Games and races were provided and before afternoon tea the chairman, Mr C. La Trobe, thanked Mr Scott for the use of his property and presented the school prizes, each child receiving an instructive book. The results of the sports were as follows: Girls, 50yds: Beverley Roberts 1, Janet Christie 2. Boys, 50yds: Captain Henry 1, John Gagen 2. Girls, 75yds: Jessie Gosncll 1, Doreen Stokes 2.
