GARDEN PARTY The garden party arranged by the members of Trinity Presbyterian Ladles’ Guild on Saturday afternoon proved very successful. The lovely gardens at Green Hedges were kindly lent by Mr and Mrs Wild and made a picturesque setting for the stalls, which included produce, cakes, sweets, jumble and ice cream, while beneath the shade of the fine old trees, the large crowd chatted over their teacups. The proceeds for the afternoon amounted to £3O, which was very pleasing for the organisers. The winners of some of the games and competitions were: Clock golf, Miss Brann and Mr S. Nicholson; target croquet, Mrs Gane and Mr Nickalls; nail driving, Mrs Harwood; jay walking, Mrs Wild; quoits, Mr G. Williams; stepping the chain, Mrs F. H. Anderson.

TOO GREY FOR COMPLIMENTS!

... too old to care? That’s how you feel when your hair turns grey. Foolish to let greyness take the joy out of your life. Science gives a new way to grow natural colour back. Van-Grey is a hair root tonic—not a dye. Works miracles. Obtainable from E. H. Leigh, Chemist.
