MONTHLY MEETING HELD The monthly meeting of the Women's Christian Temperance Union was held in.St. Paul's schoolroom on Wednesday. The president, Mrs A.' W. Martin presided over a fair attendance. The r devotional exercises were conducted by Mrs Missem Temperance hymns were sung. Several accounts were passed for payment, and orders were given for Prohibition leaflets for distribution. The resignation of Mrs Elsie Beer, who has been corresponding secretary for many years was accepted. Mrs G. Carter will act as corresponding secretary until the annual meeting which is to be held next month.

Sympahy was e xpressed with Mr and Mrs A. Gane and relatives in the death of Mr G. E, Clark.
