CAMBRIDGE CHAMPIONSHIPS FIRST QUALIFYING ROUNDS PLAYED 1 Under ideal weather conditions on Saturday, the members of the Cambridge Golf Club played the first qualifying round of the men’s senior and junior championships. ' Play in the senior round was verydisappointing and no outstanding golf was played. In the jiinior qualifying round, however, a better standard of play resulted in several good cards being returned. INTER-CLUB GAME

BARDOWIE BEATS THE NARROWS

During the week-end the Bardowie Club received a return visit from members of The Narrows Chib, and a most enjoyable match was played on the racecourse links, the home team winning comfortably by 9 matches to 3. During the day the ladies provided an appetising luncheon and afternoon tea.
