KAIPAKI INTERESTS WELCOME HOME Many friends, including visitors from Cambridge, Paterangi, Morrinsville and Kaipaki, met on Saturday last, at the home of Mr and Mrs W. Tarr, junr., who have just returned from their honeymoon to give them a welcome home. The evening passed pleasantly with musical items,- dancing and cards, and the young couple's health and future happiness was the toast of the evening. The opening night for the Social Club was held on Thursday last, when a good number of members were present. The evening took the form of a dance and "HOO" drive. The Magpie Orchestra from Ohaupo rendered good dance music and the M.C.'s were Mr H. Goodwin and Mr P. Stcenson. Monte Carlo waltzs were won by Mr Calvin Garmonsway and ■Miss Jean Scott; Mr Johnson and Miss Muriel Speakc. Mr .T. Boyd had charge of the card tables and prizes were won by Mr L. Kite and Mrs A. Goodwin. The supper arrangements were in the hands of the ladies of the committee, j Mesdames J. Boyd, J. Graham, A. E, ! McDonald, Misses 0. Kite and I. Body. The Methodist service was conducted on Sunday evening last by Mr Ron. Easter, of Cambridge. Miss Wood officiated at the organ.
