Mr and Mrs J. C. Allan, who have been visiting Takapuna, returned home on Saturday.

Mr and Mrs E. H. Leigh and Mr and Mrs S. Armstrong have returned from a holiday at Helonsville.

Mr V. Laurent, of Hautapu, returned on Saturday from the South Island, where he has been for two months.

Mr 11. N. Freeman, who underwent a serious operation recently, is now convalescing. He paid a brief visit to the bowling green yesterday afternoon, and was an onlooker at the opening of the Cambridge Golf Club’s season on Saturday.

At the annual conference of the Waikato Sub-Provincial district of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union, Messrs C. J. Pierce, G. T. Crowley, A. Bryant, F. C. Roberts, M. E. Marples, C. L. Britty and W. B. Gumming were appointed delegates to the provincial conference at Auckland in May.
