DANCE AT FENCOURT The Fencourt Hall was another centre of gaiety on Thursday night, when the members of the hall committee organised a most successful dance. The music was played by Mrs T. Worthing and was greatly appreciated' by the dancers. Monte Carlo dances were an added attraction and were won by Mr and Mrs Conning, and Mr Conning and Miss Connie Jamiesom Mr Fred Shaw was the winner of the lucky supper ticket. AUCKLAND WEDDING WILKINSONS-DALE A very pretty wedding was solemnised at St. Luke's Church, Mt. Albert, last Saturday, between Beatrice (Betty) Ellon, eldest daughter of Miami Mrs S. H. Dale, of Auckland, and William John (Jack), elder son of Mr and Mrs W. Wilkinson, Stafford Street, Cambridge. The Eev. E. G. Coats performed the ceremony. The bride, who was escorted by tier father,, wore a slim-fitting frock of . ivory satin beaute, failing gracefully I from the back into a small train, over j which hung a beautiful veil of Brussels lace caught On the head, with a coronet of orange blossom. She carried a sheaf J of arum lilies and maidenhair" fern. I She was attended by two bridesmaids, Miss Eileen Dale, sister of "the . bride, and Miss Mary Wilkinson, siator of the bridegroom, both wearing frocks of salmon pink suede crepe made on simple lines with puff sleeves, and trimmed with knife-pleating. Ihey wore wreaths of pink and pale blue velvet flowers and blue velvet mittens ' and shoes to match. Each carried a bouquet of pink sweet peas and blue hyacinths. The bridegroom was attended by Mr Jack Vear and Mr Sydney Dale, of Auckland. Tho bride's mother received her guests wearing a frock of brown floral crepe with a nigger brown silk coat and fawn straw hat. The bridegroom's mother wore a brown costume and fawn-spring felt hat. Both carried bouquets of autumn tinted flowers. The reception was held at the Mt. Albert Hall, followed by a dance attended by young friends of the bride" and bridegroom. GAY DANCE AT KAEAPIBO Karapiro was the scene of one of the brightest dances held in that district for years on Thursday night. A very energetic ladies' committee had arranged the function in aid of the hall funds. The hall was made gay with green and orange streamers entwined across the ceiling, while branches of Lawsoniana were arranged along the walls. Most intriguing little paper butterflies were nestling on the greenery. During the evening, Mr Manning >i Vancouver,-suggested that a waltzing competition should be .held. The idea was welcomed with great enthusiasm, and after careful consideration en the part of the judges, Miss Winnie Baker and Mr Ken Stone won the prize which was kindly donated by Mr Manning. ■ - The committee members, who fully deserved the hearty congratulations they received for the great success of the dance, were: Mesdames H. B. Rishworth, Joe Butler, R. H. Finn, Higgins, Lochoad and Miss Rose. Among the other dancers were: Mesdames R. Alford, Clarkan (Hamilton), Dodson. (Tirau), Eric Rose, Humphreys, B.
