Mr and Mrs A. Hopkirk. * leMrs J. A. Bryce returned -on Tuesday evening, after spending a long week-end at ' Papatoctoe with her. father and sister. * * * Mrs M. Gornaga and her daughter, Mrs Phillip Clatworthy, of Victoria Avenue, Kcmuera, who have been staying at the Masonic Hotel, returned home to-day. TWINS’ COMING-OF-AGE An enjoyable evening was given at the residence of Mr and Mrs T. Greenhalgh, Leamington, recently, to celebrate the coming-of-age of their twin sons Thomas and William.

Bowls of Iceland poppies and daffodills added a decorative touch, and the supper and dancing rooms were gaily decked out with coloured - streamers. .With dancing amd' games the timepassed quickly, and items and competitions were also enjoyed by all present. Gaiety was displayed on every hand at the supper tables, the chief feature of which was the twin birthday cake, comprising two cakes joined by an arch of 21 candles. The toast of the evening was proposed by Mr D. Klaus, and was responded to by Mr W. Greenhalgh, .on behalf of them both. A novel feature followed when Mr Grepnhalgh presented the twins with large twin &eys ,on which the guests signed their names as a momento of the occasion. . Mrs Greenhalgh received her guests in a frock of blue diagonal crepe, and those present were: Mesdames Klaus, A. Kehely, T. Hulme, A. Looker, H. Williams, B. Johnson, Misses D. Blain, G. Bced; F. FAREWELL AT HAUTAPU The district . residents of Hautapu and Feneourt gathered at the Hautapu Hall on Monday night to' bid : farewell, to Mr Fred Morris, who leaves to-nior-row for Australia. Mr Wattani and Mr Cubis spoke, on behalf of the Feneourt and Hautapu residents respectively, asking Mr Morris to. accept, on behalf 1 of- the company, a travelling case and rug. ' . XRINITY CLUB* NOTES The weather being none too kind last Saturday we abandoned ‘the idea of a hike on the Sanatorium Hills and sot off for a bike ride around Fcncourt. A climp up Pukemurimuri (with M'r Lang's kind permission) added to the enjoyment of the afternoon. Those who were there were rewarded with a jnost magnificent viewf of the country from To Aroha to Pirongia, as well as most of- the rest of the Waikato. A full account of our climb will be published as soon as space can be found for it. .

Outdoor Club members, don’t forget next Saturday. We are biking out to Eotp-o-rang'i to join in with the club girls there. Bring 2d with you for sausages and we’ll make-a picnic of it. Meet at the hall at one o’clock, if possible. The rest will leave at 1.30 p.m.
