THE CAMBRIDGE SALE SPIRITED COMPETITION SHOWN The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd.,, report on their Cambridge stock sale held yesterday as follows: . A small yarding of fat hoggets drew good' competition and satisfactory values were obtained. A good yarding of fat and store cattle elicited keen competition and prices obtained were well up to recent Frankton quotations. Dairy cows and heifers were yarded in large numbers and drew spirited competition, values obtained being better than we have seen for some time. The advertised herd of dairy cows averaged £6 5/-. The auctioneers quote: Medium fat cows and heifers £4 to £5 9/-; lighter ditto £2 15/- to £3 18/-; killable £1 IS/- to £2 12/-; good'store cows £1 5/to £lll/-; cull cows 10/- to 18/-; medium quality yearling Jersey heifers £1 15/- to £2 10/-; best quality dairy heifers close to profit £6 15/ 1 to £8; more backward ditto £4 15/- to £6 10/-; late calvers £1 15/- to £3 10/-; best quality dairy cows, close to profit £8 to £9 10/-; later calvers £6 10/- to £7 15/-; others £4 10/- to £6 5/-; late calvers £2 to £4; good fat' hoggets £1 3/10 to £1 6/-; others to £1; medium fat wethers to £1 4/11. Pigs: A good yarding of all classes of pigs came forward find a clearance was effected at values well-up to other centres. Stores and weaners were in good demand. Light baconers and heavy porkers £2 1/- to £2 8/-; medium porkers £1 15/- to £2; light porkers 25/6 to 30/-; good stores £1 to £1 4/-; poorer stores 16/- to 18/6; slips 13/- to 15/6; good weanors 10/- to 12/6; inferior weaners up to 9/6.
