RUGBY BALL

MOST SUCCESSFUL FUNCTION BIG CROWD AT TOWN HALL All the world seemed guy on Thursday night when the Rugby Ball was held at tho Cambridge Town Hall. Crowds wero there from neighbouring towns, and from as far away as Wellington and Auckland. Popular tunes, played by Clayton’s Regal Orchestra, kept things going with a grand swing. The supper tables, under the twinkling lights and tho flickering gleam of pale blue candles in their brass candle-sticks, looked a perfect picture. A variety of spring flowers arranged by artistic hands completed a charming picture.

But for tho ladies’ committee the ball would hardly have been the success it turned out to be, and congratulations aro certainly in order. The ladies’ committee included: Mesdames H. Cubis, W. R. 'Lee and Mrs A. R. Batchelor were responsible for the flowers.
