BIG PRICES FOR BULLS
NATIONAL JERSEY SALEDISPERSAL AT CLATJDELANBSf; The best disposal for several years* was recorded at the two-day annual National Jersey Show and Sale, wMcfe concluded at Claudclands on ThursdayThere was a-large and representative bench of buyers on both days o£ the sale, and the spirited bidding for the* bulls with high-class butterfat backing.’ indicated the buyers’ confidence in the? dairy industry. During the two* days’ of the sale over 120 pedigree troll* were sold and these realised the excellent average of 32 guineas. Soitae outstanding bulls from various part* of the Dominion were offered, tho top price being 155 guineas for a six-year-old bull, Idaiia’s Sunrise, on aeeouuf of Mr R. A. Lewis, ‘ Pukekohe, and bought by Mr T. W. Narby, of Helensvillc. This bull was the grand chant-. pion of the show held before the sale, and competition was keen. An excellent price was secured for the champion yearling of the sale, Greener oft Achievement, on account of -Mr IBones, Kaipaki, this outstanding hull being" purchased for 137 guineas by Mr H. Rush, North Auckland. A yearling, Ivondale Bronze Eagle, on account of Mr P. J. Petersen, of Waifara, was bought by Mr W. T. Dale, of Waihotr, for 101' guineas. The two-year-old, Waipiko Aristocrat, on account of Mr C. G. C. Dormer, of Cheltenham, Manawatu, was bought by the Farmers*' Auctioneering, Co., as agents,' for 95
guineas. - The sale was organised and conducted by Messrs Wright, Stephenson and Co. Ltd.
