SUNDAY’S SERVICES SPECIAL ADDRESSES AT ST. PAUL’S There were average attendances at tho district Churches on Sunday. At St. Paul’s Sunday’s services w,ere happy and inspiriting. The > /Rev. George Goodman, tho visiting- jnissioner, speedily" won the hearts of his hearers. His morning theme was “The Eternal, Christ,” from tho tp*t/ Heb. 13,’8. He set forth Christ as Lord of the past, the present and the future. About 50 young people attended tho Bible Class rally in the afternoon. Tho * ‘ singspiration ” was very enjoyable, several new and lilting choruses being introduced by Mr Goodman. A searching, challenging address fpllowed, “If any man will come after Me let him deny himself and take up his cross daily,” being the text. Tea together, family worship, and a sing-song TOund the piano, preceded tho evening worship. Mr Goodman choso the parable of ‘ ‘ Tho Lost Sheep” as the subject for his evening address. It was a fervent, evangelical appeal, and closed with an earnest call for decision. Tuneful, hearty singing was a feature at each service. Mrs Ethel Brown was morning soloist, and the Rev. J. Richards sang a Gospelmessage at night. The special services will be continued this week, closing on Thursday night. Church of England Morning prayer was held at St. Andrew’s at 11 a/m., the preacher being the Bishop of Waikato, tho Rt. Rev. C. A. Chcrrington. Evening prayer was conducted by the E-ev. C. W. Clark. Holy Communion was celebrated at Tamahero at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Mr Clark, who conducted evening prayer at Roto-o-rangi at 2.30 p.m. Evening prayer was hold at Ohaupo. Trinity Presbyterian A church parade of the Cambridge Municipal Band, Boy Scouts and Girl ..Guides was held at the morning service at Trinity, tho Rev. A. C. McLean taking as his subject, “Step by Step.” At evening worship, the preacher 1 was again the Rev. Mr McLean, who spoke on “A Little Lower than the Angels.” A service was held at Kaipaki in the afternoon. Baptist Church Pastor Smyth conducted both services at the Baptist Church, in Queen Street. His subject in the morning was “A Much-needed Resource” and in the evening, “A Woman.” A service was held in the Maungatautari No. 2 School at 2 p.m.
