FARMERS’ UNION

THE CAMBRIDGE BRANCH MONTHLY MEETING The monthly meeting of the Cambridge Farmers’ Union was held in the club-rooms yesterday afternoon wHen the president, Mr H. E. Marples, presided over a small attendance of members. The president stated that he and Mr Feisst had been deputed a sub-commit-tee to review the amended Reserve Bank Bill. However, as the Bill had been considerably amended and liad since been passed it was useless going further with the matter. Mr Marples said the one remaining objection he had to the measure was the granting of £1,000,000 of the country’s money to the bank free of interest. The branch decided to make the usual donation of £1 1/- to the Waikato Central Show Association’s prize fund.
