VALUES AT FRANKTON. . i FAT LAMBS IN DEMAND. There was again a heavy yarding of fat sheep and lambs at the Frankton sale on Tuesday. Competition for wethers femained steady at rates on a par with late sales. Only a small yarding of ewes came forward. Heavy buying by the butchers for the Christmas market resulted in lambs meeting with spirited bidding, and rates were in advance of export values. Ox beef was again penned in good quantity. Prices for heavy-weight cattle remained firm, while rates for good quality medium and lighter weights, showed a decided increase. Cow and heifer beef was penned in smaller numbers and showed an increase on late sales. There was again a heavy yarding of fat pigs, and values for baconers were easier. Porkers remained at about equai to late quotations. A small yarding of stores sold freely under good competition.
