THE EASTER TOURNAMENT. RESULTS OF COMBINED DOUBLES. The combined doubles in the Cam--1 ridge Tennis Club’s annual Easter handicap tournament which were finished on Tuesday resulted in a win for Miss Betty Crowtlier and Mr Drew Clow. In the semi-finals Miss Crowtlier and Mr Clow beat Miss Graham and F. Boyd, 9 —4. In the finals Miss Crowriier and Mr Clow beat G. Boyd and Miss Spcake, 6—3, 6 —4. TOURNAMENT AT FENCOURT The F-'iicourt Tennis Club held a most successful toutnanient on the Fencouft courts duritig the Easter holidays. Results of the tournament are as follows: Ladies’ Singles: Miss Cis. Jamieson beat Miss O’Keeffe. Men’s Singles: J. Wattam beat L. Feisst. Ladies’ Doubles: Misses E. Simpson and Con. Jamieson- beat Mrs Bartlett and Miss Cis. Jamieson. Men’s Doubles: A. Jamieson and C. McEnteo beat A. and L. Feisst. Combined Doubles: Miss Con. Jamieson and Phil Jamieson beat Miss Cis. Jamieson and Andy Jamieson.

TENNIS AND DANCE AT TE MIRO. 4

On Easter Saturday and Monday the Te Miro Tennis Club held a most successful tournament on the To Miro courts. The winners were as follows: Ladies’ Singles: Miss Joy Hewitt. Men’s Singles: Mr J. H. S. Bamfortli. Ladies’ Doubles: Mrs Grey and Miss Joy Hewitt. Men’s Doubles: Mr A. Grey and Mr H. P. Hewitt. Combined Doubles: Mr E. H. Hall and Miss Dorothy Woodrougli. On Monday evening the Tennis Club held a very jolly dance in the Te Miro School as a wind-up to the tournament. During the evening the president, Mr Grey, presented the prizes to the winners. The club captain, Mr Bamfortli, congratulated the players on their improved play this season. It was decided to run another tournament in June for the Stewart Points Cups. The present holders are Mrs Hewitt and Mr E. H. Hall.
