DOLL-DRESSING

COMPETITION FOR CHILDREN. INTEREST OF WOMEN’S DIVISION In various ways the local branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union is endeavouring to make itself of maximum use to the community. The division is endeavouring to interest all and its latest competition is one for children in the shape of a dolldressing contest. There will be two sections: (a) for those under 12; and (b) for those 12 and over. The work must be entirely that of the competitor. Dolls may be dressed either by sewing, knitting or crochet. Dolls may be the property of competitor, not necessarily new, but should not be less than six inches. Dolls may be retained by competitor or sold on exchange. Names of competitors should be sent in by February 16th, 1932. Use More Wool. In support of the use more wool campaign the branch has arranged a competition for seniors as follows:—(A) Knitting or crochet, any article. (B) Woollen garment.
