MANCHURIAN DISPUTE
OCCUPATION 01' HARBIN. CHINESE FOUND STRANGLED. Australian and N.Z. Press Associafiov SHANGHAI, Yesterday. General Honjo, Japanese field commander in Manchuria, informed the press to-day' that he is perturbed, regarding the situation at Harbin. He expressed the opinion that possibly it would be necessary to occupy that city in order to saieguard the lives ami property of Japanese nationals. In the French concession the police at the week-end discovered the bodies of nine Chinese in the basement of a house. It is believed they ware murdered by members of the Chinese Communist Party in revenge for divulging information of the Communists' activities. The victims had all been strangled.
