KEEPING DOWN DISEASE. A CLEAN-UP WEEK. Again this summer Cambridge Borough is to have its "clean-up week," the Borough Council deciding at its monthly meeting last night to coopcrato with the Intornal Affairs Department, in conjunction with the United Fire Brigades' Association, in the campaign of lire prevention and disease. A sheaf of literature and other correspondence was received from the department with reference to Dominion fire waste. The Mayor (Mr C. H. Priestley) said previously they had had a "clean-up week" in Cambridge and he thought the same procedure might be followed this summer. He suggested the council advertise the fact and make a day for the collection of rubbish by the council's lorries. The engineer said the clean-up was done in sections last year. The organising of the clean-up week was left in the hands of. the clerk and engineer.
