ADVANCES FOR OCTOBER SUPPLY ROUND ABOUT 1/- LB BUTTERFAT The majority of the Dairy Companies in the Waikato have now fixed their advance payments for buttcrfat supplied during the month of October, the basis of payment being round about ljid to 1/- lb buttcrfat for both butter and cheese. The Cambridge Cheque. The total cheque to be paid out by the Cambridge and Bruntwood Dairy Companies will amount to £29,339, and with such a largo sum in circulation, business conditions generally should be brighter during the coming weeks than they have been of late. The Cambridge Company. The Cambridge Dairy Company is advancing a total payment of £25,685 on the basis of 1/- lb buttcrfat for cheese and lid for butter, as compared with 1/li and 10£d respectively for the corresponding period of last year, when the cheque for tho month was' £28,158. For the season to date, the Company has paid out to suppliers a total of £57, 997, against £64,828 for the same priod last year. The buttcrfat received by the company for October was equal to last season. The Bruntwood Company. The Bruntwood Dairy Company received 73,0881 b of fat for October on which 1/- lb buttcrfat for cheese is being advanced, compared with 1/1 last year, when the company received £75, 6591 bof fat. The total cheque for October is £3654 8/4, against £5098 4/4 for October 1930. Other Waikato Companies. The New Zealand Co-operative Dairy Company, Limited, has decided to advance lid per lb. for finest butter-fat supplied for butter-making in October, and ILJd per lb. for butter-fat supplied for cheese-making. The advance payments for October, 1930, wore 9|d rer lb. for butter and 1/- per lb. but-ter-fat for cheese. The Hinuera Co-operative Dairy Company, Limited, will advance suppliers to its butter factory lid per lb., butter-fat. For the October supply last, year the rate was lOd. The sum of £948 will be distributed by the Kakopuku Co-operative Dairy Company at the rate of lid per lb. buttcrfat. The company manufactures cheese. For October, 1930, the company disbursed £1192 at the rate of 1/- per lb. butter-fat. At Tokoroa, the cheese factory suppliers will receive £1197 at the rate of 1.1 M per lb. butter-fat. Last year the amount distributed for October was £1431 at the rate of lOd per lb. A reduced supply was received at Tatuanui in October compared with that of the corresponding period last year. The pay-out to the cheese suppliers, lOd per lb. is the same. This year £5013 will be distributed, as against £5767 last year. The Sunny Park Company has fixed its October advance at lid per lb., as against lOd for October, 1930. The distribution will amount to £4274, as against £4114. Tho October disbursements of the Norfolk Company, Avhich conducts a cheese factory, amount to £2813 at 1/per lb. butter-fat. The samo rate of advance was made for the October supply last year, when £3797 11/7 was distributed.
